Carol Baldwin is a freelance writer in Charlotte, North Carolina, and has written for a variety of local and national publications. Baldwin developed "Teaching the Story" from materials that she taught in several different classrooms. She is active in the Society of Children's Book Writers & Illustrators and presents at educational conferences and workshops nationwide. She presented at the N. C. Reading Conference in the following sessions: "Beyond the Keyboard: Incorporating Technology Into Your Writing Curriculum." and "Learn from the Masters: How Creating a Fictional Character Enhances Reading Instruction."
